  everyone knows about the recent across-the-board okay to use electronic devices in jw worship.

  few, though, know about how not long ago it was considered a taboo.. first, there was that dc talk a couple of years back where they nearly demonized simply the ownership of a smart phone, ipads (i phones, blackberries, etc) let alone the use of them at meetings.

  they brought out that they were a waste of time, expensive and that they exposed a christian to satan's world on the internet.

  As a lowly single mum with depression I didn't think I qualified for it in the first place.

  i have it from 1st hand (or second) that a circuit overseer who gave a talk at twickenham in august 2013 has been disfellowshipped.. .

  The only reason I would be interested in a CO being d'fd is if he woke up and then I could be happy.

  The name is not so important unless he starts posting here so we could welcome him but a pseudonym is still fine.

  Personally I don't need further proof holy spirit doesn't exist (can be fooled if you still believe in it) but I imagine it is a very important "proof" to those trying to wake up a loved one especially if he is a prominent and well known CO.

  Well an Elder told me why all the new revised NWT bibles are grey/gray in color

  while in discussion with an elder from my old congregation, he asked if i had been given an opportunity to see the new bibles yet.. i told him yes that a family member had showed me one a few days back and some of the improvements (changes) that were in it.. as our conversation went along he asked me what i thought of the color.

  i said well its certainly different from the black cover i was so used to or even going back further a few decades the green covered bibles when i was a child.

  (we both got a chuckle out of that).

  It was dying anyway so I didn't have a lot of choice. My daughter said to get the Samsung. I have to keep the BB going until next Wednesday when the number will change to the new phone.

  I am hoping there is a quick easy way to transfer all my contacts. I haven't even started that yet.
